12yrs ago today at 11:21am I gave birth to my son Derrick F Cornelius Jr. Weighing only 1 pound 5oz & 12inches long. Dr gave him a 1 percent chance at life and told me tht the best thing I could do for him is take him off of life support & let him die peacefully. My faith in God was/is stronger than wht n e Dr has to say. I put all my faith in God and left my sons life in his hands. After 11 blood transfusions PDA ligation (heart surgery on thanksgiving day and takin by flight for life) 10 different medications Gtube (for feeding) laser eye surgery oxygen for a year small brain bleed chronic lung disease and right lung collapse at 5 he stands handsome as ever strong and truely a blessing to me! So proud of my baby/almost teenager overcoming soo many obstacles and turning into a young man right infront of my eyes wht seems like overnight! Happy birthday Lil D! Love u Buba :-)
