13-14 December 2014 Completed the Inter state cycling expedition from Bhubaneswar to Digha in West Bengal conducted by Bhubaneswar Cycling & Adventure Club covering the total distance of 321 KM in just two days. On day one (13.12.2014), six of us started early in the morning from Bhubaneswar and reached Chandipur on sea in the evening covering the distance 212 Km. This is our new club record of covering more than two hundred km in a day. Earlier we had covered 191 KM in a day during our Bhubaneswar-Rourkela trip. We moved on NH 5 the entire day passing through historical city Cuttack, Chhatia, Chandikhol, Pani Koili, Bhandari Pokhari, Bhadrak, Simulia, Soro, Baleswar. From Baleswar, local cyclists joined us for a ride up to Chandipur. We also crossed the rivers Kuakhai, Kathjodi, Mahanadi, Brahmani, Baitarani, Kansa Bansa on the way. The overcast weather through out the day made the ride better. Evening at the scenic Chandipur beach made us to forget the tough day. Chandipur beach is unique in the world as the water recedes by five KM twice a day during low tide. Also the world famous Integrated Test Range of DRDO, from where all the missiles are test fired, is located in Chandipur. On day two (14.12.14), we started from Chandipur and cycled upto Digha in West Bengal covering the distance of 109 KM. The local cyclists joined us from Chandipur to Fuladi Chhak on NH 60 passing through Baleswar. From Fuladi, we moved on NH 60 for about 50 KM to Jaleswar. From Jaleswar we moved on State Highway 57 up to the bordering town of Chandaneswar. During the day we crossed river Budha Balang, Subarnarekha on the way. In Digha we went around the beach celebrating our successful trip. I must thank other members of the expedition, Sri Manoj Ahuja, Sri Lalit Das, Sri Subrat Panda, Sri Akhay re Padma Mohapatra, Sri Ajay Nanda for making the arduous trip enjoyable, memorable and unforgettable. mapmyride/workout/818474815 mapmyride/workout/818474459
