13 arrested for ‘setting ablaze’ LeT operative’s house: Police : Sopore, May 24: (GNS) Police have arrested 13 people for allegedly torching house of a former Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) ‘operative’ last month in Sopore town of Baramulla district. 13 people associated with local Auqaf have been arrested after ‘they instigated people and torched the house’ of LeT operative Imran Ahmad Dar who, flanked by his associates had barged into the house of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din War in Nowpora and had tried to abduct his daughter. The other two who were accompanying Imran were identified as Salman and Wasim. Following the abduction bid by Imran, these people made announcement on mosque loudspeaker on that day and instigated people and as a result of that Imran’s house was torched. “During rampage by people and by these arrested persons, Imran’s Father Haji Sanaullah Dar was injured and his sister Dr. Tabassum and her husband Er. Arshid had received burn injuries,” A senior police officer said. He said case under FIR number 67 under 436 RPC was registered in this regard. “ We have arrested thirteen people, Haji Bashir Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Hassan Wani, his two sons Rayees-ul-Islam Wani and Irshad Ahmad Wani, Ghulam Mohiuddin, son of Muhammad Akbar War, his two brothers Farooq Ahmad War and Irshad Ahmad War, Ghulam Muhammad War son of Abdul Khaliq War and his son Zahoor Ahmad War, Kaisar Ahmad war, Shahnaz War sons of Ghulam Nabi War, Abdul Majid War son of Ghulam Ahmad War, Mudasir Ahmad War son of Ghulam Mohiuddin War and Ghulam Hassan Dar son of Habibullah Dar He said.
