13 years ago, Rainbow thought she had hit a gold mine. Found wandering, she was taken in by a family who has cared for her since then. She grew up with the kids, lived in harmony with other little dogs, and just had a good life. But several months ago, Rainbow got some sort of cut or scratch on her face, and because her owners couldn’t afford the vet care, it became infected to the point that her eye is now in jeapordy. So they brought her into Manhattan ACC thinking maybe she’d get care there. Well, ACC’s answer is to put Rainbow on tomorrow’s euthanasia list 1 day after she got there. Tonight, Rainbow is begging for her life. She needs to get to a real vet to figure out what’s needed for that injury on her face and she needs someone who has room in their home and their heart for this scared, sweet hurting little dog. If that’s you, start working on fostering or adopting Rainbow.
