13 years ago today I was stuck on a remote island in Alaska trying to get home to be with my wife as she was getting ready to give birth to our second child. Unfortunately I was not able to be here when she gave birth to our son. I was several days late getting home to my family but promised that I would never sail again. It was the birth of my last son Cristian Torres that changed our lives. Ever since he has made us laugh, cry and shake our heads at the stuff that he says. He truly is becoming a great young man and I wish I could slow time to a slower pace. I love you son. Happy Birthday!!!
