13 years ago today my son, Corbin, was born. He arrived three months premature and weighed only 3 pounds. He spent 7 weeks in the NICU at University Hospital in Denver and came home on oxygen for another couple months. We had concerns for his long term health and development after such a rough start. Today, He is an athletic, intelligent, talented and well- liked boy who makes me very proud. I sometimes forget how worried I was about whether or not he would be blind, have normal lungs or be able to play sports like other children. He had a fun day today with five of his buddies at Durango Mountain Resort for his Birthday. I give thanks to God for the blessings of all my children and I feel very fortunate to have Corbin as my son. Now, we embark on the teenage years.
