13 yrs ago tomarrow, I was standing at work w fellow coworkers listening to the horrible news on the radio. How a bunch of COWARDS flew plains into the towers. 20min after hearing about the last tower falling and the other into the pentagon, my boss told me I had a phone call from my husband. With tears in my eyes I walked to the phone not believing her. You see,, he couldnt call do to a few more weeks of his training. To my surprise, it was him! He told me to look around the room and tell my friends goodbye, I asked why. He said,dont say a word, go home and pack, I will be there in 8hrs to pick you up. We are fixing to go to warhe said. I had to tell my boss as I left...that the man I adored above all else had been selected for the advance party into Afghanistan! I wanted to puke. Even now, 13 yrs later, I cant help but to shake w tears coming down my cheaks as I wait for our babies to get out of school. My husband arrived, and as time flew by, we were in ft. Bragg. He had been assigned his group,,, and in a blink of an eye my g.i. left me in a truck at green ramp. Some ppl shrug off the 11th which I find sad, others place blame in places and ppl wrongly. Sept. 11 to me was the day that changed our life for ever. My fun loving man left, and a totally different one returned. He didnt see the same person in the mirror no longer either. So tomarrow morning between 8-845am, remember those lost in the devistation from the evil deeds of the hijackers. They are lost but never forgotten! Remember tomarrow is patriots day! Tell your vet how much you love them! The terrors they face behind their eyelids would prevent most from sleeping ever again. Ppl like my husband fight and fought to keep the war off our shores so family, friends, fellow Americans didnt have the fight in our backyards. Many sacrificed much and did things required to keep HOME safe. (And for the record, they still will defend home from foreign or domestic threats! Tomarrow as you drop your kids off at school, remember all of them! I relive that day once a yr. I get sick to my stomach and to me, it feels like yesturday.
