14 years ago, in Negril, Jamaica, I married my first love. I didnt know anything about being a wife, a mother or what the future would hold. However, as young and immature as I was back then... I knew I was in love. In the next 14 years I found out that marriage is a lot more than the shiny diamond ring. I grew up and became a woman. I learned the art of forgiveness and the ability to ask for it. I also learned that its not about pride or ego as much as it is about building something that is untouchable by the outside world. Im proud of what we have, what weve done and where we are going. Thank you Corey Shackelford for the years, the friendship and the love. Happy Anniversary! He is my lover, my babys father, my lifetime partner and my friend.
