14 years ago when our staff went missing, we scoured Cardiff in search of him. During this search we came across a ginger coloured dog and fell in love straight away. As we were still hoping to find our Spike, Don said we couldnt have another dog but I knew if he saw her hed fall in love with her too - and he did! After about 4 weeks going back & forth Cardiff Dogs home hoping for Spike to turn up, we kept an eye on the ginger cross and finally asked after her. Imagine our devastation when we were told she was already taken. The following week she was still there so we asked again and were told that the people didnt come back for her, so taking no chances & no more time we took her there and then and called her Saffra. They say things happen for a reason and their loss was our gain and shes been an integral part of our family, we couldnt have asked for a better family pet - bloody useless guard dog though, shed rather lick you to death! lol Sadly after 14 years she started to get ill, not eating & hardly leaving her bed - it was time to say goodnight to our beautiful faithful dog and last night was that time. To say were all devastated is an understatement and shes going to take a long time to get over - its like losing a child! Loved & missed, gone but not forgotten - shes over the rainbow bridge xxx This was her in her prime - the Orange dog as one of my good friends used to call her Rebecca Nelmes
