1400 update: Well, the nurse is getting me bumped up to full liquids - so that means soups and stuff! I saw the GI specialist - the first round of tests came back negative so she is pretty certain we can rule out Ulcerative Colitis and she is still leaning towards Infectious or Ischemia. In both of those cases, the antibiotics are working! There are still a number of tests that need to come back, but those are mainly to identify the infectious diseases like E. Coli and Salmonella. But those test results alone are not enough to keep me here. I am off the dilaudid for good, and have only taken one norco sine 0400. So pain is becoming manageable. Things are progressing really well. If everything stays on this track, I will be discharged tomorrow and back for an out patient colonoscopy. I am still very weak and may still be ordered to rest for the next couple of weeks, but well see how that goes when we get there. Overall, I am feeling so thankful for all of the love and support I have been receiving - my turn around has been amazing - even the doctors and nurses mentioned it. So for all of the positive thoughts and love - they have been working. I am cautiously optimistic about all of this but am super happy with the turn of events!! Ive had a few visitors today and that was wonderful. Thanks again!!! :)
