Todays Topic: PRODUCTS OF GENEROSITY Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread. And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of GOD, which passeth by us continually. Let us make a little chamber … and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither. 2 Kings 4:8-10 In the journey of life and destiny, one of the greatest powers/graces to possess is the power/grace for generosity. The Holy Bible makes it abundantly clear that people of destiny in Scripture were people of generosity. When you examine the lives of some women like the widow of Zarephath, the Shunamite woman, Hannah - the mother of Samuel, the woman that broke the alabaster box, Dorcas, etc., you will know that they were very generous. And when you observe the lives of men like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job, etc., you will realise that they were generous people. It is confirmed that there can be no great destiny on earth without generosity. Generosity also has been discovered to be the cure for adversity. Looking at the Shunamite woman, what are some of the products of generosity? Through generosity, the anointing located a need that seemed to be no longer on her mind and if it was on her mind, she must have given up HOPE and it was no longer a prayer request. Generosity is a key that can make the anointing to handle a situation that you have given up on. Through generosity, the reproach of barrenness was broken in her life. Your generosity can handle your calamity. Your generosity handles your insult and shame. Sometime ago women trusting GOD for the fruit of the womb were told to reach out to orphans. And one lady began to take baby clothes to a set of twin babies in an orphanage. She later testified to the delivery of identical twins. Generosity broke her reproach. Remember that your generosity can handle your calamity. Never take prophetic instructions for granted (Hosea 12:13). Do as the passage says; be generous. You can never reap until you have sown. To be a sower is to be a reaper. Now pray with me Our Glorious Heavenly Father I worship YOU. Baptise me Lord, with the spirit of generosity, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! I thank You Father, LORD of Heaven & Earth for answering me. There is HOPE for you. It is good that one should HOPE and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
