15/01/2014 Senior Management, William Verschoor and Mark Horstman held a Staff Training and Development Day for several Shift Commanders and senior Response Officers at the Salem Full Gospel Church in Bothasig. Training started at 08H30 and ended at 16H00 with several speakers presenting learning material covering aspects from Responsibility and Accountability to Law Implications, Legal Conduct and Core Values, Integrity and Empowering. Our first speaker was Louise Woudberg, a life and skill coach. Louise spoke to staff about topics relating to Team Work, Specific Skills, Strengths and Goals. Practical exercises were also done to illustrate to staff how to apply what they have learnt in our modern day times. Our second speaker was Lt Col Jacobs from Bothasig Police Station discussion topics from Legal Conduct, Legal Framework, Our Rights and First Responder Responsibilities. Karin Verschoor was our third and last speaker handling topics ranging from Leadership, Leadership Style, Attitude To Life, Deal With Conflict, Character Building and Core Values. Thank you to Management for arranging the workshop and especially to our three speakers taking the time out of their busy schedules to address us, motivate us, arm us with knowledge and empowering us.
