15) Approximate This piece originated in the Grand Wazoo era (1972) and is compositionally interesting for its use of precise rhythms combined with both written and random pitches, played at each musicians discretion (explained in greater detail in an upcoming video on this thread, featuring a version by a slimmed-down version of the 1974 band). Many of Frank Zappas bands played this piece in concert. This version by the 82 band is one of the weirdest of the officially released performances, featuring Zappa, Steve Vai, Ray White, Tommy Mars, Bobby Martin, Scott Thunes, Ed Mann and Chad Wackerman.
