15 Reasons to Donate (check all that apply to you) 1. I know someone at Mentors International and they asked me to give, and I wanted to help them. 2. I felt emotionally moved by someones story (there are dozens on the mentorsinternational.org website) 3. I want to feel Im not powerless in the face of need and can help. 4. I want to feel Im changing someones life. 5. I feel a sense of closeness to a community or group (have you been to any of the countries we serve, or wanted to go?) 6. I need a tax deduction (we wont penalize you for checking this box; everyone needs tax deductions). 7. I want to memorialize someone (who is struggling or died of a disease). 8. I was raised to give to charity--its a tradition in my family (really? love your family!) 9. I want to be hip, and supporting this charity is in style (yup, its always in style to help others get out of poverty). 10. It makes me feel connected to other people and builds my social network (sure, go ahead and share it on social media; get others to follow your great example of donating). 11. I want to have a good image for myself/my company (yes, its good for your brand!) 12. I want to leave a legacy that perpetuates me, my ideals or my cause (we would love to help you with that!) 13. I feel fortunate (or guilty) and want to give something back to others. 14. I give for religious reasons--God wants me to share my affluence. 15.
