***** 16 December .. The way forward ***** The barbarism that occurred on 16th of this month on Pakistans soil ,The soil of the brave and honorable. Something that even cant be mentioned without feeling ashamed. Mine is a nation where a minute fraction thinks and does whatever it wants. Savages who even surpassed beasts in brutality and fury. Several questions opened up and many did their best to portray what happened. People changed their Facebook profiles pictures... , posted statuses, wore black arm bands to show solidarity and record their protest (including myself). It was like the entire nation coming to a halt. 200 million souls hit with the most furious of strikes, one on innocent, helpless and weak children.Though time has to flow , a quite river that never ever stops and keeps flowing unnoticed But even it stopped for some on 16th.Yes for some. For those fathers who saw young blood spilt all over their kids uniforms and for those mothers who, with weak hearts and trembling hands , bid farewell to them whom they heard saying mama for the first time and for all those who fought for their lives at hospitals. Bright,young,happy faces they were , souls whose innocence questions us..... I am not blaming anyone. No matter what happens life has to move on. The vendors have to sell news papers , media has to find a new issue,Mr XYZ has to open his shop to pay for his childs tuition again,schools have to open up and I have to return to college ; after all i have a semester to be done with. A midst all this restlessness life is moving again But the question remains will it continue as it was before 16 ? We do see a clear stance among people from all school of thoughts against terrorism. We reject terrorism, we condemn Peshawar incident. We do this we do that ? And by WE here i refer to the youth, the students in universities all across Pakistan. Is this how civilized nations respond to national tragedies? If this condemnation and shouting is all what we can do than how do we differ from other beings? Because that is what even a sparrow does when its young is killed (remember that its of the weekest beings we know of )and still it does everything in its power to protect its offspring. Arent we human beings ? Those who have conquered the moon? Those who have broken sound barriers. Those who have traversed through space and are aiming at new worlds beyond the farthest reaches of our mind?! Though they arent from our part of the world but they were humans who share the same spirit as we do . The Human Spirit !! And as stephen hawking would say There is no limit to human endeavor Arent we limiting our reach by just condemning this? Shouldnt we take practical civilized steps by ourselves. We , the youth, were aimed and it will be us who will respond and tell them that we are no dead people. We live and die for honour for love for peace and for humanity. People are calling this as a defining moment in our history. Yes it is !! but who is going to define it ? It should be very much clear to us that this IS OUR FIGHT NOW. Security agencies and ARMY are doing their part, giving blood to protect us and We owe them our lives.Every single drop of blood spilt over a khaki demands more responsibility more hard work from us. I think i deviated from what i wanted to say. Army has done its part and is still doing more government did it before by lifting previously held off decisions on hangings and now as i hear the PMs address to the nation. I can feel the resolve in his speech and he deserves appreciation for taking everyone on board in this matter. The core of this matter needs some more light to be shed on it. For that matter If any of you ( and m sure therell be many) were keen enough to assess this scenario, you would have thought that these week or so vacations are nothing but a forceful punch in our faces. A direct blow to our entire education system, its like the TTP saying Youll fight us well retaliate in schools, colleges and universities and jam the entire education system.Your future will be dark. Well kill you and snatch your precious ones from right in front of your very eyes and you wouldnt be given a chance to do something or for that matter anything ! This wasnt just an attack on those army personnels families who so bravely have spilled enough blood for Pakistan.It was an attack on each one of us , on our souls, on our nations integrity honor and above all on Humanity. It was a targeted offensive on the education sector of Pakistan and we have now, whether willing or not, become a major stake holder in this and Each one of these holidays has been earned in blood ,pure red blood of innocence, happiness, spright , youth and LIFE itself !!. Lets make it of some use rather than sleeping and watching tv. How are we going to respond ? Would fancy statuses, black DPs , hangings and candle lightnings suffice? For the general publics end they might be a good start .... But the education system that they aimed at ! Hows it going to react? Are we not a civilized nation? Do we not know how to respond ? Is education for us only books and GPA? I am severely criticized by friends on bringing physics everywhere but this is what nature and history too has for us that to every action there is an equal and Opposite reaction this applies not only to science but also to sociology , economics and every other field we know of Our job as youth is to brainstorm the Equal part.
