16 years ago, my father died of a heart attack in a small town (where he was born) in Bicol, Philippines. From what I know from previous ERT training and experience, AEDs are and have been proven life savers, In the back of my mind, I always thought perhaps my father would have survived if only he had access to an AED. He died on the way to the hospital in a tricycle (no ambulances or first responders there to reach to him quickly). Move forward to today and my awareness of drones (atomicBee airforce1) and the many application of this aerial delivery units. This idea this student proposes 0makes sense. I Can see how this and the planned system/process can deliver an AED faster than conventional ways. Currently, AEDs are deployed only is key places and static. This one is somehow coordinated with the Emergency Units and/or ERTs. I would like to see this be rolled out as it can save a life when needed. This gets the Tommy Two Thumbs Up Award.
