On a recent run, I was huffing and puffing down 3rd Street, when I saw hovering hundreds of feet above me a team of skyscraper window washers perched near the very top of Cincinnatis tallest tower. My immediate thought was how Im not crazy about heights, so Im glad there are people skilled enough and focused enough to do a tough job at loftier altitudes. The second thought is about how we need to keep striving for a society where all different kinds of work garners a fair wage; where both the person inside the glass at the top of the skyscraper and also the person outside the glass at the top of the skyscraper are at least able to support themselves and take care of their families. Wouldnt that make for a pretty good view?
