Today I kissed my best and oldest friend goodbye. He was the most patient and wisest horse I have ever met. He taught so many people about the beauty of horseback riding, and is known as the legendary Kit to many. SO many first times happened on the back of this horse for so many people. His kind, tender spirit was ever present in his last few days, but his earthly heart could not longer handle the burden of this life. His heart went into atrial fibrillation, and he became too weak to do the things he loved (like boss around his pasture mates). The hole in my heart is large, and I will remember him forever. I love you my old friend....
