#17 posted by @Ani Anirudh (https://facebook/ani.anirudh.1238) Well...Here goes my 1st interview experience which goes on very well, somewhat tensed but was gud to hear the word Placed In TCS...:) TCS recruitment started in our college on Oct 8th 2014 and ended on Oct 11th 2014... Results were declared on 13th morning and finally 64 members were placed out of 446 members who have attempted written... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- U all know the pattern of TCS.... but i will tell u once again( self satisfaction :P) The 1st round was Aptitude which was the major eliminator...(e-mail+apti) 2nd Technical Interview 3rd Management round(exceptional for some colleges.... I went on through this..) and finally 4th HR round. E-mail for 10 minutes have to use all phrases given... dont waste evern a sec in this... Aptitude-- 30 questions....Time: 80 minutes starts immediately after submitting u r e-mail... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Round--Aptitude on 8th Oct... This round is the major eliminator beacuse around half of the members who has attempted written will be eliminated.. I started preparing for campuses especially for TCS in July 2014... 1st I have started preparing R.S.Agarwal aptitude book and worked on with that until the end of August. I have done with almost all concepts of R.S.Agarwal(each and every problem)... Then I have started preparing m4maths....from which I came to know that R.S.Agarwal is not sufficient for TCS...but the concepts which I have learnt in R.S.Agarwal was so useful. So dont work with bits, learn concepts...I have completed around 1000 bits in m4maths. I have stopped preparing aptitude in the middle of september.. Then I came to know that TCS is arriving on Oct 8th before 20 days.. Then I started preparing for Technical and Hr rounds and prepared for these rounds upto Oct 4th.. The main preparation starts now..On Oct 6th FACE Academy visited our campus to prepare us for written... previously I have some face bits obtained from my frnds studying in other colleges so I started preparing for written again on Oct 5th only with FACE bits...5th,6th,7th-- I have concentrated on FACE bits and other previous papers of TCS.... and on 8th I was about to write my written.. There were 3 slots and its our wish that we can write in any slot...prefer to write in 2nd and 3rd slots...The first slot was started at 11:00 AM and I enrolled my name in 2nd slot..1st slot ended by 12:30 PM and all the members coming out says that prepare FACE bits only it will be more helpful...so i was excited much and also got tensed..Top 5 members are excepted to write aptitude and they had E-Mail writing only.... I was unlucky as I stood in 6th position with 0.12 percent behind.....After lunch my written started at 2:00PM and at 1st I was supposed to write E-Mail writing....I will tell u all a thing from my own experience... dont waste time for writing so many e-mails in every website...every one can easily crack it...just write 2 or 3 mails before the day of written.... pls dont waste u r time with e-mail writing....I wrote my mail in just 6 n half minutes....dont forget click on submit or else u r e mail will not gets submitted..... Use all phrases given and avoid spelling mistakes... if u dont know how to use any phrase the keep it somewhere whether the sentence dont makes any sense.... YOUR EMAIL HAS TO BE MORE THAN 50 WORDS After e-mail comes the most dangerous aptitude... 30 questions 80 minutes......I have got 14 questions from FACE material and 3 or 4 from campusgae website felt very happy and answered 24 questions out of 30 including * questions.... I felt very confident that I will crack my written, went home and started preparing for technical...On 9th Oct at 4:30 PM the results of written were out and my frnd called me and said that I was qualified and I felt very happy... Out of 446 members in my college 193 members cleared written exam.. I continued preparing for my technical and my TPO said that the TR and HR will be on the same day... so I have prepared for HR also...... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2nd round Technical Interview on 10th Oct I went to the college at 8:30 AM and was shocked to see my name in Panel 3 as 2nd member for that panel... They said that the interview starts at 10:00 AM.... I was so tensed about this... there were 8 panels totally.... and as expected my name was called at 10:30 AM.... I went inside asking May I get in sir, and they said to come in and take u r seat.. They asked my resume and I gave it to them.. I was so tensed.. my hands are shivering but I have covered it keeping a smile on my face..there were two interviewers in the panel aged around 35...My interview went on for 35 minutes.... 1st Interviewer: Gud mrng anirudh.. Me: Gd mrng sir 1st: Tell me todays date fast.. Me: I was a bit surprised and said that its Oct 10th... 1st: Tell me about u r self Me: I started telling me about my self and I was paused in the middle and they asked me about my hobbies as I have stated one of my hobbies is Reading bhagavadgeetha and I got state 1st in bhagavadgeetha 1st: Tell me one thing why in courts they make a vow on bhagavadgeetha? Me: Said and they surprised and asked me to recite one sloka with its meaning and I told... 1st: told me one sloka and asked to find out from which chapter it was...haha Me: I was shocked and said I dont know sir.. 2nd: continue with u r achievements and all.. Me: I told my achivements, short term and long term goals, why I suit to this post and all... 2nd: Do u know C language? Me: Yes sir 1st: asked some questions.. what is array,pointer,variable,datatype,union,difference between union and array... Me: Answered all 1st :are u familiar with programs Me: Yes sir 1st : write a program on palindrome.. Me: wrote but one step was wrong as I forgot due to tension... 1st: U did it wrong correct it.. Me:. I said confidently that I was right 2nd: asked about my ppt which was on power electroncis.... asked the difference between invertor and UPS... Me: I said... 2nd: asked some electronics que, what is rectifier,what rectifier is used in inverter Me: I said but was wrong 1st: Dont u have any mini projects done? as i havent stated anything about my project in resume Me: sir i did a project on gas leakage detector.. 2nd: Then why dont u mentioned it in u r resume? Me: I said I was not awarded with any certificate thats y.. 2nd: said ok and continued typing something in computer.. 2nd: ok lets end up this interview here and finally asked a logical puzzle... 2nd: I will give u a can of milk from which u have to measure exactly 1 litre by using two measurands one of 5 litres and 2 litres? Me: I said will take milk with 2 litres can for 3 times and pour them into 5 litre and there will be only one litre remaining .... 2nd: Ok,nice u can go be prepared for next rounds:) Me: Shook my hands with them and said thank u and came out.. I felt very bad about my interview as I said many questions wrong and came out... lost hopes on my job and felt that all my hardwork has gone... As they told that HR will be on same day i waited in my college till 8:00 PM then they said that HR will be tomorrow and results of TR will be placed tomorrow morning.. I lost full hopes and confidence as all my frnds in that panel performed very well than me but one sentence keeps my confidence on was be pepared for next rounds I came home and slept at 9:30 PM only thinking that i have to prepare again for other campus.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oct 11th While I was going to college my frnd called me and said that I was through the TR and was listed my name in MR... some of my frnds went directly to HR... I felt very happy.. and I dont know what to prepare for MR and thought that I have to overcome all things I did wrong yesterday.. After going to college I saw the list and my name was in 1st Panel 11th name.. I thought that i was a bit lucky as i can ask some of my frnds who have completed before me.. My name was called at 12:30 PM and went inside Me: May I get in sir Int: come in Me: gud aftrnun sir Int: very gud aftrnun,, take u r seat.. Me: thank u sir and he asked me to tell me about myself and I said without any tension... Asked some basic questions in C which were asked on the before day and said them spontaneously... he asked me whether i can work in Pune... I said I can...he asked how can u say... I said that I already went to pune and was there for 10 days and liked the environment there.. He asked me about one situation that if i was given a task to complete within 5 days and the work is still pending 80% on the 4th day what will u do? I said that I will first analyze that whether the work will be completed within 5 days or not ... if not I will ask higher officials to extend my time period and then start my work...if the same situation persists then I will work hard at nights and try to complete the work on the 5th day..He was impressed with my answer and said well done u can go... I said Thank u sir and came out.. The results of MR round were declared immediately and I was qualified and called for HR at 2:30 after lunch... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HR Round(on the same day) Interviwer is a lady... I greeted her and she asked me to say something about my college for 2 minute.. I said... then she asked about my parents, about my home town and all silly questions which I had never expect and finally asked me Will u relocate? I said sure mam......then will u work in weekends and nightshifts and i said yes... Do u know about bond? I said yes mam its of 2 years and i was happy as i thought that i was placed.... came out and felt very happy about my performance on that day and came home.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On 13th Oct when i woke up I checked my nextstep portal and the happiest moment in my life went then... saw in my portal that offer letter generated... Felt very happy... Only confidence and Communication plays a major role.. dont be tensed as u will forget answers if u get tensed.. Dont take MR round as an easy one some of my friends came out and cried as the interviewer scolded them...I think my experience will help u alot.. If u want any guidence then feel free to msg me... I will tell u upto the extent of my knowledge..:)
