#1708 Today I was riding my bike where the construction is going on down by IKB. At no time was there an indication that there was no through access. However, as I was riding down East Mall a construction worker stopped me saying I could not get through, and kindly suggested that I turn around and take another route. I asked, as I saw students walking to the left of me on the sidewalk, May I go under the caution tape? (that separated the sidewalk from the road) He replied, no, you have to go back around. I then said, how come I cant just go underneath the tape? He said, uh, it might get wrecked, its very expensive tape. Well, there ya have it.
