18 things you probably couldnt care less to know about me: 1. Im sure my cousin gave me 18 as a flippin number because she was being a butt. 2. She is the same cousin who officiated Travis and my ceremony. She was a blessing, because 4 people prior to her backed out for one reason or another, up to the WEEK of the wedding. 3. The week of the wedding there was a bit more drama than I shared with most, so Travis and I officially got hitched on July 4 at our church picnic. Our pastor was supposed to put the official stuff together on the bus on our way to Guatemala, but I panicked and in a text she agreed to marry us. (Her broken rib and all!) 4. I would totally understand if most of you already stopped reading. 5. I was a single mom for 8 years. Single. I didnt date for the first few years after my ex moved out, then when I did date, it was short and sweet. 6. I was married to my ex for YEARS after he left. I was afraid he wouldnt see his son if I divorced him, then one day it dawned on me that he didnt see his son anyway. 7. Travis is an exceptional man because he spoke to Lanes dad on the phone as we were moving in and told him to come visit his son and to stay in our home. OUR home. 8. My ex is 21 years older than I am. 9. When I was single I had a LIST of criteria that I felt a man should meet. Including knowing how to open doors, and eat with manners. If I went out with a man who didnt know how to do either of the two I didnt go back out with him. 10. Travis had everything on the list that was a MUST have and everything on the list that was would be nice. 11. I told Travis I loved him on the first date. And I did. 12. I was groomed to be a nurse by my mother and my grandmother. The reason I didnt go into nursing out of high school was pure spite. That was stupid. 13. I love to dance. I love to sing. My family hates road trips with me because I sing every song. And on a good song, I sing it with dramatics! 14. I even sing in my preceptors car as we are driving in between patients homes. 15. I HATE to be cold. Like, put me in a bad mood, dont even talk to me, hate cold. 16. I dislike snow - no I do not think its so pretty. I hate it. Three years ago I moved back to Indiana after 15 years of tropical weather, I got my car stuck ALL THE TIME. 17. I love to be alone. 18. I am a Christian and Im not shy about it. I dont go to church so that I can be better than anyone. I dont like the type of church where I feel uncomfortable. I go to church because I need help. I cant manage life without guidance.
