18th Annual Youm-e-Hussain(AS) Celebrated With Great Zeal of Religious Enthusiasm in Calgary. Youm-e-Hussain Organizing committee organized Youm-e-Hussain(AS) with great zeal of religious enthusiasm like last 18 years in Calgary, at Falconridge Community Centre on December 21st 2014. Among the highlights were the prayers for the kids who died in Peshawar incident and unplanned fundraising for young Calgarian Maaz who is going to Pakistan for Kidney Transplant as participants raised over $10,000 for his treatment. Syed Imam Haider Zaidi was the guest of honour from Toronto. The guest speakers including, Moulana Abdul Lateef Naumani from Vancouver, Syed Waliuddin Ahmed Ul Qadri Al Hyderi from Edmonton & Prof. Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy from Calgary shed some light on the different aspect of the life of Imam Hussain (AS) and also highlighted the importance to live our life according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Imam Hussain(AS), and with the guidelines of Quran & Hadees. Speakers also emphasis to the unity of all Muslim brotherhood, denounced terrorism and to contribute positively in the society. Mr. Hassan Nawab who is one of the leading force of this event since last 18 years also speaks about the importance of unity and paid highest tribute to Imam Hussain(AS). He also thanked to the Speakers to share their remarkable knowledge with the crowd, community members, well-wisher & specially to the Media Partners & the Volunteers whose hard work make this event a great success as huge number of community members from different school of thoughts attend this event. Burhan Khan co-founder of Youm-e-Hussain(AS) event also came to the stage for vote of thanks. At the end delicious Haleem prepared by Mr. Hassan Nawab and his team of volunteers served as dinner.
