18th August Ashley put a poster up yesterday (John 10 verse 28) one of Jesus Promises to us, His Teachings to all. His words, His ways for our lives, This led me to use this week for Jesus teachings. There is not one thing The Lord asks us to do ( Karen touched on, on Sunday) which He has not already been told by the Father to teach us. Today I want to take The beginning Abiding in Jesus John 15 verses 4-10. I am just going to put verse 4 up as all of this part of the chapter is about abiding in Him (please read verses 1-11), just as Jesus abides in the Father: Jesus said: Remain in me and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me! Until someone accepts Jesus as their Saviour, they do not understand what The Creator wants for all. Karens 1st list from Isaiah 1 17:Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows, can be done by most of the population and is. But the purpose comes when you see her second verse: Micah 6:8: No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what He requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God.
