18th May 18th May Im not the sort of person who tidies up by shoving everything behind the sofa. No, really, Im not! But this year Ive been collecting yarn for a charity project that Im helping with and quite before I knew it, I discovered that I had a woolly Kilimanjaro bursting up out of the gap between the wall and the settee. So Ive spent a happy hour sorting all that out, finding an embarrassing number of half made items that I need to finish, but not finding anything to toss. Then I turned to a basket of stuff that could loosely be described as sewing kit and picked out a few scraps and shreds that even I had to concede were not going to used for anything. Only 17, so to make a nice round number I added 3 non absorbent tea towels that have got on my nerves for months.
