18th Oct 2013,being on a friday, we had no afternoon lecture.I hurriedly left Upperhill for Embakasi to meet my friend Robert Muthomi.By 4:15, we were done and he headed to job at JKIA. On my way to the stage, i decided to buy a piece of pineapple and the pineapple lady welcomed me with ni ya kumi customer.I picked one and while almost completing the 2nd piece, i got into my pocket to pay her her 20 bob.In all of my pockets, there was only a piece of Pilipili newsletter(which goes for 10 bob) with a heading 9 ways to tell if she is faithful to you. I had no single coin. I decided to call my friend Omanga Ngare but before he picked, my phone went off. I asked the pineapple lady to assist me with her phone and she claimed kijana unafikiri nimekuja jana hii Nairobi ! However, i tried to explain to her but she only let me go without paying her the 20 bob.She denied me her handset. How i got to Upperhill from Embakasi, only God knows.
