In 1983, BamangaTukur was the Governor of the defunctGongola State (now Adamawa & Taraba)and 30 years later, he is today theChairman of the ruling Party, The PDP; Dr.Bello Halliru was commissioner in the OldSokoto State (now Sokoto, Kebbi &Zamfara) and 33 years after he is todayMinister of Defence; Major General DavidMark(rtd) was the military governor ofNiger State in 1984 and 28years later heis today the Senate President; Gov.Murtala Nyako was the governor of NigerState in 1976 and 36years later he istoday the Governor of Adamawa State;Ogbonnaya Onu was governor of AbiaState in 1992 and 20years after he istoday the National Chairman of ANPP; Gov.David Jonah Jang was the governor ofBenue State in 1985 and 27years after heis today the governor of plateau state; andMartins Elechi the Ebonyi State Governoris over 80 years old! Only in Nigeria is thispossible, where the youth of today haveno hope into the future! From strike inhealth sector, to the labour, to judiciary, toEducation and today our students arehome lavishing!
