Tom took Pippin to the Vet today to have her nails clipped. While he was in there, two guys came in with a dog. He guessed the two guys to be Vets, maybe Vietnam. The dog was having issues with her Uterus and the owner did not have the money to have the necessary surgery. The dog was about 10 y/o and still has years to live however without the surgery the dog would die. The Vet estimated the bill to be approximately $1,000. While Tom was alone with the Vet, he talked to him about the dog’s situation. Tom offered $300 to help with the bill, if the Vet would be willing to make the bill more realistic for the owner. The Vet agreed to cut the bill in half for Tom to cover what he offered. The owner and his buddy were able to more easily pay $100 each for the dog to have her surgery. The dog in surgery right now. Tom always tries to be/act like such a hard ass. We all teared up while Tom was telling us the story.
