1990. Concrete Blondes song Joey was all over the radio in the summer of 1990. Only one problem: I really disliked it. In fact, Joey was a finger of judgement track, that would compel me to instantly change the station. I wasnt that big on their 1992 follow-up single Ghost of a Texas Ladies Man and cover version of Leonard Cohens Everybody Knows either. So I looked no deeper into the work of Concrete Blonde, and it would be years before I discovered this song, which is actually pretty good, and perfect for Halloween.
