1st Practice Match, Eastern Academy XI vs Nepal in Johannesburg, South Africa Eastern Academy XI : 202/5 ( 30 Overs Match) Nepal 32/3 (10 Overs) Nepal needs 203 runs to win in 30 Overs. Nepal had a poor start chasing a demanding total of 203 runs. They lost opener Naresh Budhayer without adding any score to the total. It only got worse with the wickets of most reliable batsmen Gyanendra Malla and Subash Khakurel successively as Nepal was reduced to 32/3 after 10 overs. Earlier, after the delayed start due to rain, Nepal won the toss and elected to bowl first. The match is reduced to 30 overs per side match. Eastern XI started cautiously against Nepal opening bowlers. Karan KC drew first blood for Nepal as the first wicket fell in the sixth over for the score of 22 on board. However, the South African batsmen kept looking for runs as they notched up massive 40 runs in next 5 overs before the skipper took a good catch to dismiss 2nd EA XI wicket on Sagar Pun’s delivery. Easterns kept scoring in brisk pace irrespective of fall of wickets they suffered as they pummeled 202 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in shortened 30 overs per side match. Nepal needs 203 runs to win in 30 Overs....
