1st pic. getting ready to go back to our AO in the Bong Son after helping out the 173rd Airborne and SF during the Hill Fights Nov. 1967 While we were gone the elite 22 NVA reg. moved into our AO-- On Dec. 10th was the start of the Battle of Tam Quan the 1st Cav had 58 KIAs and over 250 WIAs- NVA had over 600 KIAs -- Soon after Jan. 16th 68 we were on our way to Quang Tri for the 68 TET. 2nd pic. me on the far left after the battle of Tam Quan Dec. 20th 1967. 1st pic. on left my good buddy Truman Carroll from KY and me.
