2.8. catastrophes by tsunamis and storm tides A further sign of the last days of the world is named in Luke 21,25. The catastrophe by tsunami in December 2004 startled the whole world. In the Indian Ocean infront of Sumatra happened one of the biggest ever measured earthquakes, which set off a gigantic tsunami with to 30m high waves, which brought the death to India, Sri Lanca, the Maldives, Indonesia and Thailand. Were altogether more than 230.000 fatilitys. It was one of the biggest catastrophes by tsunami of the world history. But in the following years there were again and again as the result from hurricanes storm tides. To named are: 1. at the 17th of July 2006: in Java with more than 700 fatilitys; 2. at the 2th of April 2007: on the Salomonen islands with to 12m high storm waves and 12- 20 fatilitys; 3. at the 30th of September 2009 on the Samoaislands with 80- 100 fatilitys; 4. at the 25th October 2010 on the Mentawai Islands with 3m high storm waves and more than 272 fatilitys; 5. at the 11th of March 2011 in Japan with 23m high storm waves and 11500 fatilitys. But also the hurricans “Katrina” in August 2005 had terrible results. The whole New Orleans was under water and were 1800 fatilitys. In September 2005 came the next hurrican “Rita”, in October 2005 “Wilma”, the strongest whirlwind, which was measured in the Atlantic until today. The decade from 2000- 2010 had the most hurricans with the level 5 until now (Isabel 2003, Ivan 2004, Emily 2005, Katrina 2005, Rita 2005, Wilma 2005, Dean 2007, Felix 2007).
