2 Cor 3:17 (NKJV) 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. When we finally turn our face and look to the true Gospel and find God, He is there - face-to-face! Then we suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of His face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like Him. Yet we have to remember, as the Lord require many things of us, He does not compel us against our will. We are not toy figures in the hands of a child that move and act however the child makes them move. We always have a choice whether or not to believe, to trust or to act in accordance with our faith. To me that freedom is the most precious gift of a loving Creator. The Lord is the Spirit who gives us life, and where He is there is freedom from trying to be saved by keeping the stone written laws of God. Do not let your past hold your future hostage - God has given us a new covenant, do not let the old bind you and take away your peace. Standing in faith - living by grace
