2 Corinthians 10:18 says, “When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them” [NLT]. True peace comes from finding approval from God alone. When we become concerned about what people think of us, we will never have peace and contentment in our hearts. Simply because man is so very fickle: one day you are a hero, the next a bum. If you do not believe me just ask any prominent sportsman. If he has a great game everybody almost idle worships the poor boy… but if he has a poor game and drops the ball, those same fans want to crucify the poor kid!
