For the apostle does also say in the Second [Epistle] to the Corinthians: “For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them which ARE SAVED, and in them which perish: to the one indeed the savour of death unto death, but to the other the savour of life unto life.” 153-217 A.D. Early Church Fathers - Ante-Nicene Fathers - Volume 2 - Clement of Alexandria - The Instructor - Book 2. - Chapter 8 This the apostle most clearly showed, when he said, “thanks be to God, who always makes us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place. For we are to God a sweet savour of the Lord, in them that ARE SAVED, and them that are lost; to one a savour of death unto death, to the other a savour of life unto life.” 254-430 A.D. Strongs Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Note: On what basis doctrinally and with what manuscript evidence do the modern versions present to justify the ADDITION of the word [ BEING ] into this verse? NONE! The word BEING, #5607 below, DOES NOT appear in 2Cor 2:15 in any of the four Greek texts that I have, which are 1. Stephanus 1550, 2. Scrivener 1894, 3. Tischendorf 1869, 1872, 1894 4. Westcott & Hort 1881. The ADDITION of the word BEING comes from unsaved men trying to interpret and translate a Bible that they do not understand. Or, they do understand it and are purposefully trying to confuse and mislead souls from having the assurance salvation. You decide? It is obvious that the translators, of the modern versions, do not believe in absolute assurance of salvation or they wouldnt have inserted BEING. The modern versions seem to follow the Jehovahs Witness and Catholic versions. With such overwhelming evidence in support of the genuineness of the passage above, why would anyone want to remove it?
