2 Corinthians 8:1-5 now i want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, what God in his kindness has done through the churches in macedonia. they are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor.but they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity. for i can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more. and they did it of their own free will.they begged us again and again for the priviledge of sharing in the gift for the believers in jerusalem. they even did more than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to we as the church of the modern day and as individual christians should develop an attitude like that of the churches of macedonia. even though they were going through hardships they did not forget that God was there for them. they still had joy and gave generously even though they were going through hard times. we to can be faced with hardships. what would you do if you were tested to give what you have for the enhancement of the lords kingdom? would you do it.or just sit back and think God is not in control even when the storms have hit your life? we walk by faith and not by sight and so lets soldier on in times of hardships and know that God is with us and if we are told to sacrifice what we have to develop the lords kingdom lets do it with one loving heart. for we know that our God will bless us even more. #impactforchristmovement.
