$2 Million in Medical Aid Arrives in Syria Life for Relief and Development has been actively working to provide Syrian refugee families arriving by the hundreds daily in Jordan with food and other items through a campaign that started when the conflict in Syria began and refugees started to move into Jordan. Recently, there has been a large influx of Syrian refugees entering Jordan. Most of the refugee families have entered Jordan with nothing but the clothes they are wearing and are in desperate need for food and other items for survival. Each refugee family received the following items: Food items: 5 kg rice, 5 kg sugar, 1 gallon cooking oil, Jars of jam, 1 box of 100 tea bags, powdered milk, broad beans, chick peas, dried beans, lentils Cleaning/Hygiene products: Multi-purpose cleaners, dish soap, Clorox bleach, floor cleaner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, tissues, Female hygiene products, shampoo, body wash, soap bars Kitchen items: Spoons, knives, trays, fry pans Mattresses and Pillows (4 each per family) The families that received the items provided through this project were all very happy and felt a sense of security for the first time since leaving Syria. They all thanked and praised Life and its donors for giving them the help that was provided so they could start their lives in Jordan.
