2 Oct 2013 Prayer Request for my Mom, Mary "Polly" Carter. I would appreciate prayer for my Mother, Mary Carter. Her hallucinations are getting worse as time goes on, and are becoming very, very vivid and real to her. As well, she is losing interest in her personal appearance, and for her, THAT has always been a very big deal. The other major problem, now, with her is that she is refusing more and more to use her walker...and is combative with nursing staff and even me, now, at times. I will update youall on my condition, too: My health is not great, either. After the 4 seizures I had on 3 Aug of this year, my memory is even worse than before, and my back pain is increasing. Thus, my visits to see Mom are not as frequent as I would like. Any time I have the atypical migraine headaches that I have been assaulted with since 1983, I dare not drive, especially after the seizure incident (no cause was ever found for WHY they occurred...no blood abnormalities, no toxicology problems (simply put, with my memory issues, I did not take too much or too little of my meds). As some of you know, when I fell down with the seizures, my head fell into an old steam heat radiator, and my left ear was very nearly cut off. Also, another TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) occurred. I was critical enough that I had to be flown via a MEDIVAC fixed wing aircraft to a Level 2 trauma center in Nebraska, where I had immediate surgery to reattach my ear and sew my scalp back, where it was deeply cut...on the top right of my head. I have had a really bad HA since 1500 or so today, and did not sleep well at all last night. I have been up for about 45 minutes now, to let Bud outside and feed him. I am drinking a cup of tea...about all I can keep down...maybe something light later. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and moral support. It is appreciated more than you know.
