2 TIM 3: 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. IF WE WANT OUR OWN WAY ALL OF GODS REPROOF, SCOURGINGS, CHASTENINGS WILL BE IN VEIN BECAUSE WE ARE IN DEFIANCE OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER! EVERY HABIT WE HAVE DEVELOPED PRIOR TO EXPERIENCING THE NEW BIRTH MUST BE OPEN TO THE SPIRITS CONTROL. WHEN WE READ IN GODS WORD OR HEAR SOMETHING NEW THAT NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED WE MUST NOT WITHHOLD IT BECAUSE WE ARE AFRAID TO TRUST GOD WITH IT. 1 COR 3: 8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are Gods husbandry, ye are Gods building. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 2 TIM 3: 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves (WHY? BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE IMPARTED GRACE OF GOD THROUGH THE NEW BIRTH) covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, (SELF CENTERED) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (SEE JOHN 1: 12). from such turn away. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. MATT 6: 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. WHAT IS THE STANDARD? JESUS! HE LIVED IN PERFECT HARMONY WITH HIS FATHERS LAW & HAS OFFERED TO LIVE IN US! EPH 3: 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; DO WE THINK HE WILL LIVE A DIFFERENT LIFE IN US THAN HE DID AS A MAN ON EARTH? SATAN WOULD HAVE US BELIEVE THIS. THOSE WHO HAVE A FORM OF GODLINESS BELIEVE THIS. LOOK AT THEIR FRUIT. 2 COR 5: 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christs stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. FOR GOD HAS MADE JESUS TO BECOME SIN FOR US EVEN THOUGH JESUS NEVER SINNED! MATT 27: 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? JESUS FATHER TURNED HIS BACK UPON HIS SON IN HIS AGONY. HE CUT OFF LIFE FROM HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON! HE ALLOWED HIM TO PERISH! WHY? IT WAS THE ONLY WAY HE COULD PAY THE PRICE OF REDEMPTION OF THE HUMAN RACE & STILL MAKE A WAY FOR ALL TO BE CHANGED BACK INTO HARMONY WITH THE TEN COMMANDMENT LAW WHICH IS A WRITTEN DESCRIPTION OG GOD CHARACTER. YET ONLY A REMNANT WILL HEAR. ALL OTHERS SPEND THEIR TIME DOING GRACE THERI OWN WAY. FEARFUL RESULTS!! 1 COR 12: 31 But covet earnestly the best gifts THIS IS THE RESULTS OF THE IMPARTED NEW BIRTH. THE OLD COVETING IS CHANGED TO A COVETING OF THE BEST GIFTS! THUS BROUGHT INTO HARMONY WITH GODS 10 COMM. LAW. THIS IS THE MIND OF JESUS!! HEBREWS 2: 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. ISA 52: 13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE RECEIVED THE NEW BIRTH CAN BE THIS UNINTERESTED IN DOING THINGS THEIR OWN WAY & SO DELIGHTED THAT NOW THEY CAN DO THINGS GODS WAY!! THESE HAVE ENTERED INTO THE “REST” FROM SELF THAT THE SABBATH REPRESENTS. HEBREWS 4: 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. …. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into GODS he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. EPH 4: 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. THIS CAN BE DONE ONLY THROUGH THE RECEPTION OF THE NEW BIRTH AS WE BEHOLD JESUS LIFTED UP & THE HOLY SPIRIT IMPARTS TO THOSE WHO STAND IN AWE OF HIS GOODNESS UNTIL SELF IS LOST SIGHT OF. THIS IS THE PROMISED CHANGE OR FRUIT OF BEHOLDING. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath forgiven you. Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 1 PETER 5: 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
