2 Timothy 1:9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life. What does it actually mean to be holy? There are certain church phrases that Im not really sure people understand. They hear them time and again, but probably couldnt explain them in detail. Paul is simply telling Timothy that first and foremost, our lives should be set apart. Paul understood that Timothys faith was sincere and set apart, and he was therefore encouraging Timothy. As Christians, our marriages should be holy or set apart. A shining example for the world of what a healthy marriage looks like. I encourage you to live a holy life first and have a love for your spouse that mirrors Gods love for the church.
