2 years ago I inherited a group of sophomores that were challenging. As juniors I often wondered why I bothered. Today with three months left in the program I began the senior checklist. Every single one of them had completed everything on it. They have all applied to two colleges (most have applied to 3 and some as many as 6) They have all completed their FASFA. Throw in that most of these students are the first in their family to go to college and they are low income and it makes what they have acomplished even more impressive. Ill admit I nearly teared up twice, and both times they called me out and made fun of me! I love those kids and am so proud of them.
