20 Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. 21 He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!” 22 In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God. I watched this, I watch them all… anything I can find. I just cry, and cry, and cry. But somehow Gods presence seems more alive than ever. Somehow, as I pray and cry out to God to unchain these beautiful brothers and sisters from persecution, death, mutilation, rape, beheading, crucifixion, starvation, dehumanization, and raid, I am incredibly overwhelmed with a Spirit of hope. That though it seems utterly hopeless as an American, to sit here and not really know how to help these people, there is hope in the power of our Jesus. That affliction is flattened by a finger of our God. That we can still give praise to the Lord, for He is good. And as unbelievable monstrous this all seems, Heaven is right on the other side. Could I endure what these people are enduring? I cant say. I really cant. I pray that Jesus comes soon. I pray that the persecution ends. I pray for these savage and cruel killers, who are blinded by sin and evil. I pray that we as believers can stand firm against the attack of the enemy. That the Islamic terrorists are blinded like Paul, and Christ is able to use this all for His glory. Without persecution and trial, there would be no reason to place our ALL in Him. For now, my prayers are propelled for our world. I encourage anyone who wants to get together to pray for this and so many other unjust happenings in the world to message me. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 2 Corinthians 4: 8-11
