The soil is derived from marine basalt that erupted about 25 million years ago. In 2003 this part of Yamhill County Oregon was granted a (American Viticulture Area). This wine was aged in French Oak for 14 months, “The wine is smooth to your palate with a rich black cherry overtone.” You will enjoy this wine now with a beef dish and also pork.
