Please pray for our sister shelter. Center for Women adn Families is one of the largest shelters in Kentucky. They have a wonderful program. They are funded by the government and are blessed to sponsor huge fundraisers that really bring in financial support and raise awareness. Granted they have larger staff and more expenses. However they reach so many battered women and their families. Just stop and consider for a second, if they cant make it and have to shut down many services, imagine how grateful we are to still be up and running. Being a private shelter and relying on private donors and small grants is really tough. All shelters are noticing an increase in calls to their Hotlines, yet we are all receiving less funding. Please support your local Domestic Violence Shelter, The Caring Place services Marion, Taylor, Washington and Nelson Counties. One of our larger grants was cut this year by quite a bit.
