2013 Urban Photographer of the Year Competition Deadline: 31 August 2013 OVERVIEW: Calling all amateur and professional photographers alike! The CBRE Urban Photographer of the Year competition challenges you to capture what you consider to be the essence of urban life at any time of day, anywhere in the world. The theme this year, ”Cities at Work’’, encourages you to portray the life of your chosen town or city. THEME: Cities At Work PRIZE: First Prize: photo safari holiday Second Prize: Olympus OM-D Camera Third Prize: Blue Dot display stand ELIGIBILITY: Anyone over 16 years of age can enter the competition with the exception of employees of CBRE, their associated companies and employees of any company chosen to sponsor prizes for the competition. The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers; however the entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright and all other rights in all images, which they enter. Images that have won prizes in other competitions are not eligible for this competition. Entries that CBRE considers (in its discretion) do not fulfill these eligibility criteria will be deemed ineligible and disqualified without appeal. If ineligibility is discovered after the prizes have been awarded, all prizes received by the wrongdoer must be returned in their original condition or refunded to CBRE to the full retail value of the item. NUMBER of ENTRIES PER COMPETITOR: Each individual may submit one image for each hour of the competition, (a total maximum of 24 images). You will also be given the option to enter each under one of six new categories [cbrephotographer/the-competition/] based around urban themes. If you do not feel your photograph is represented by any these, please choose ‘none of the above’. All images entered and subsequently short-listed as finalists, will be considered for the ultimate prize of Urban Photographer of the Year, regardless of the hour they are entered for. COST of ENTRY: CBRE has sponsored this competition to allow all entries to be submitted without charge to you (other than your normal costs of using the Internet). Competitors, who have submitted images, the proof being an email submission received on the site, but those images have been rejected by the technology of the site, will be permitted to submit their images into the competition. They will be notified individually to this effect. Postal entries, or entries made in any form whatsoever other than via the website, will not be accepted. NOTIFICATION of the WINNERS: All the winners will be notified in September 2013. Winners will be announced on the Site once all the winners have been notified.
