2014 - 2015 Call for Application The British High Commission in Yaoundé invites outstanding young professionals with leadership potentials from Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, to apply for the Chevening Scholarship for a Master’s degree course offered by UK Universities in the following fields: Human Rights/Democracy/Governance/Rule of Law Economics/Trade Communication (Media Law/ Political Communication) Security (International Security/ Security Management/ Terrorism/Regional Development/Conflict Resolution/Peace Studies) Engineering Brief Description: The Chevening UK Scholarships is one of the world’s top scholarship schemes for international students. It offers exceptional candidates the opportunity to undertake post graduate study at leading universities in the UK. It is aimed at future leaders, opinion formers, and decision makers. Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in related field/discipline Three years of professional experience in the public or private sector Evidence that they can pay for other costs including return air tickets and living expenses. Claim an exemption based on the lists of countries as specified in the Guidance for Posts Good English Language skills and an IELTS score of 6.5 (or its equivalent). All candidates must fulfil the FCO’s Chevening English Language (EL) requirement by 21st December 2013. Special arrangement would be made for candidates who do not have language test centres in their countries.
