2014: -Recorded my debut EP in Nashville. -Played shows in Nashville, Dublin, Cork, Killarney, Los Angeles, Turku and Helsinki. -Met lots of new people. -Experienced loss. -Attempted to learn some Finnish. -Failed at every phrase except the inappropriate ones. -Wrote too many songs to count. -Ate good new food from different cultures. (Karelian Pies...mmm) -Ate awful new food from one culture (who actually likes salmiakki!?) -Played on FM104, East Coast FM and Spin1038. -Broke into an amusement park called Moomin World. -Met a major influence, Ryan Tedder, and the OneRepublic team. -Had two separate airlines break the same guitar. In the same trip. -Was gifted a beautiful new guitar in San Francisco. -Had lots of challenges. -Got sunburnt. Many times. -Attended Ruisrock Festival. -Swam in a lake and did traditional sauna for the first time. -Ran from sauna to snow and back for the first time. -Realised how beautiful Killiney is. -Almost had a nervous breakdown about releasing my debut EP. -Released my debut EP, CONFLICT. -Reached #1 on iTunes Ireland Singer-Songwriter Chart and Top 10 on iTunes Ireland Album Chart. -Freaked out. -Pledged all digital proceeds to War Child. -Met and jammed with Ed Sheeran. -Found a sometimes awesome buffet in Dublin. -Realised my love for Japanese food. -Lost 35lbs. -Made many great memories with special people. -Witnessed history as equal marriage rights passed in Helsinki. -Took roughly 28 flights. -Might have single handedly kept the hotel industry booming. -Finished out the year by busking in front of hundreds of people on Grafton Street with the man who wrote the songs that first inspired me to write and play music for a living, Glen Hansard. -Cried, laughed, loved, missed and made a new years resolution. -New Years Resolution: Improve on 2014.
