2014-10-14 (TUE) Winning your husband In his teaching on submission, Peter gives us the key to winning over a husband who has not yet committed his life to Christ. And what is this key – it is a submissive wife. Husbands are to be won over by the behaviour of their wives – their love, care and especially submission. Arrogance, lack of respect and a spiritually superior attitude is definitely not the answer to winning over an unbelieving husband. Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. – 1 Peter 3:1-2 (English Standard Version) Lord Jesus, as wives, let us grow in our submission to our husbands and in our love and respect for them. And we want to stand on your word that through our submission and loving actions, our unbelieving husbands will be won over for you – we want to stand in faith on this word.
