2014 Annual Membership Meeting update: Directors Roy Plummer (Bordentown) and Lewis Wetstein (Freehold) were reelected for a 3-year term; Bob Smyth (Riverton) was elected for a 3-year term as Director; Al Buchan (Mount Laurel) was elected Director Emeritus; Annitoinette Kolesnikov (The Villages, FL) was elected Trustee; Mike Wysong (New Egypt) was elected President. The membership decided to shorten the name that we do business as to Armed Forces Heritage Museum. The website and FB page will be updated to reflect the name change in the near future. We are still incorporated in New Jersey as Armed Forces Heritage House. Many advances have been made this past year including: The request for land on the perimeter of the Joint Base has been elevated to Air Force Headquarter, Pentagon and we are preparing to brief the Basing Request Review Panel in the coming weeks; 15 more municipalities and 2 counties adopted a resolution of support; The Living History Project was launched and veteran interviews recorded (see website); A Virtual Education Project is being developed (see website); The concept for a Mobile Museum is moving forward as a trailer was donated and is scheduled to be refurbished. The Officers, Directors and members will continue to work hard to secure the rich history and heritage of the Joint Base and honor all who served our great Nation.
