2014 GULF COAST ADVENTURE - January 25. We had a leisurely morning offering everyone the opportunity to do more exploring on their own today. Fortunately, the weather has improved -- still pretty nippy out but mild compared to Minnesota weather. This afternoon we boarded the Creole Queen Paddleboat for a 2-1/2 hour narrated cruise of the Mississippi River along with time at Jean Lafitte National Park. It was a beautiful day for a cruise. This evening we headed over to Mulates Restaurant for a great meal along with wonderful Cajun music. Afterwards, some people walked down to Bourbon Street while others gathered at the hotel for a little more socializing.
