2014 Report Dec 03: We had a great day today at Columbus Animal Care & Control Center. One of you folks who like No Kill Columbus GA please ask them if they would like to share the good news that Happy Trails Of Columbus GA. reports the same way they like to share the bad news and paint an unfair bad picture with it! Today, we had ZERO deaths of Adoptable Dogs! And, there are not only ZERO Adoptable Cats, but there are ZERO cats or Puppies at this time! WOW! And, we had 09 Dogs make the break for freedom today! Now, that is a Great Day! Tomorrow, we will have 22 Dogs Available for Parole. We, also, have 20 Dogs processed and sitting in a holding cell. This gives us a total of 42 Homeless Inmates in our Homeless Pets Prison tonight! As the Weather gets colder, I cannot help but think of the animals in our Local Rescue shelters. While out Municipal Facility has heated floors, I do not think that is the case with Animal Ark Rescue, Tri County Animal Rescue Center, Paws Humane or East Alabama Humane Society Inc.. Your old blankets that really are screaming for replacing might make the difference between a dog or cat shivering through the night and then being hungry AND cold during the day! And, remember that we have foster based rescues like Columbus Purrs n Paws, Soul Saver Rescue as well as other rescues like Humane Society of Harris County, GA, Claws N Paws and Safe Haven AnimalRescue that have their resources really stretched during the winter months! Please, while your prayers are always appreciated, a little cash or food, toys and other items and donations are always deeply appreciated! And, They all need extra help at this time of year.
